Text Box: The 2008
Quail Run Men’s Association

Text Box:      The Quail Run Men’s Association will once again offer a variety of organized, competitive events beginning April 26th and lasting through September 14th.  The Association is open to all men and each event is specially  formatted and/or handicapped in order to allow players an equal opportunity of winning.  The main contributor  in establishing this “equal opportunity of winning”, is the ability to establish and maintain an accurate system for handicapping.  In order to accomplish this, Quail Run golfers will be asked to return ALL scorecards to the golf shop so that we may post your scores for you.  Until a new handicap has been established, men will play off of their most recent one available.  All Men’s Association events will be conducted in accordance with the rules of golf as specified by the USGA (down everywhere).  I strongly recommend that all of our players, as well as their respective groups, adopt this form of play for several reasons:  1)  Handicaps will more accurately reflect the player’s true ability.  2)  Golfers will actually be playing the game the way it was designed and intended.  3)  When a player does hit a good shot or happens to shoot their best score, it’s with the satisfaction of knowing it was done “by the book”.  4)  Most importantly, playing this way will help our golfer’s become better player’s.
The 2008 dues to join the association is only $50, ($40 for Quail Run pass-holders), and here is what you can expect:
· Complimentary Quail Run handicap fee for 2008 ($15 value)
· Complimentary lunch for all events ($72 value)
· Guaranteed prize fund of at least $500 per event
·   4 events with cash prizes + added money
· Guaranteed prize fund of $1000 for club championship
· Complimentary beverages after final round of club championship
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the annual dues of $50 is quite a bargain when you consider that the handicap fee    and complimentary lunches adds up to an $87 value, not to mention the free beverages for the club championship and the guaranteed prize fund.  Below is the schedule of events for the upcoming 2008 season:
