The Quail Run Men's Golf Association...2010
The Quail Run Men's Association will once again offer a variety of organized, competitive events beginning April 24th and lasting through August 29th. The Association is open to all men that play at Quail Run and each event is specially formatted and/or handicapped in order to allow players an equal opportunity to compete.
The main contributor in establishing this "equal level of competition," is the ability to establish and maintain an accurate system for handicapping. In order to accomplish this, Quail Run golfers will be asked to return ALL scorecards to the golf shop so that your scores may be posted. All Men's Association events will be conducted in accordance with the rules of golf as specified by the USGA (down everywhere) and it is strongly recommend that all of our players adopt this form of play for several reasons: 1) Handicaps will more accurately reflect the player's true ability. 2) Golfers will actually be playing the game the way it was designed and intended. 3) When a player does hit a good shot or happens to shoot their best score, it's done with the satisfaction of knowing it was "by the book." 4) Most importantly, playing this way will help golfers become better players.
The 2010 dues to join the association is only $50, ($40 for Quail Run pass-holders), and here is what you can expect in return:
-
Complimentary Quail Run handicap fee for 2010 ($20 value)
-
Complimentary cook-out for all events ($70 value)
-
Guaranteed prize fund of at least $750 per event
-
4 events with cash prizes + added money
-
Guaranteed prize fund of $1500 for club championship
-
Complimentary burgers, brats, and beverages after final round of club championship
In conjunction with some of the Men's Association events and the Quail Run Club Championships, we will hold a series of 6 events where points are awarded to the top 16 finishers. The 12 men that have accumulated the most points over the series of qualifiers will represent Quail Run at the Columbus Cup Matches on October 3rd.
The annual dues of $50 ($40 for QR passholders) is a bargain when you consider that the handicap fee and complimentary cook-outs alone add up to an $90 value, not to mention the free food & beverages for the club championship and the guaranteed prize funds.
